Commercial Landlord-Tenant Dispute
When a commercial tenant needed representation in a landlord-tenant dispute, the client turned to Larkin Hoffman’s Real Estate Litigation team, led by Mike Mergens. Larkin Hoffman represented the tenant against claims by the landlord that the tenant was subject to a lease agreement that the tenant had never signed. After a two-day court trial, the team secured a judgment that the landlord’s document was not on the lease and that the written lease between the parties had been orally modified to provide a cap on monthly rent. Currently, the landlord has appealed the decision to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
